I finally found some time to recall the unforgettable vacation I spent with my classmate Dana in Scotland at the beginning of May. First we flew from Amsterdam to Edinburgh and stayed for three nights there. One of the days we did a bus tour through the Scottish highlands, visiting mainly Loch Ness and Glencoe, where we were able to contemplate the beautiful landscape that is also famous for being featured in movies such as 'Harry Potter' or 'James Bond Skyfall'. Later on, we took the bus to Glasgow (aprox. 1 hour from Edinburgh), where we also spent a clouple of days discovering the city, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and the City Chambers.
It was a very nice week, and even though the weather changed every five minutes from wind and rain to sun, I can only recommend visiting Scotland, but mostly Edinburgh and the highlands! ...just make sure you prepare yourself for the Scottish accent, good luck understanding people in Glasgow!
